Murphy's Irish Stout
With St. Paddy’s Day approaching, I felt I should share my favorite stout - Murphy’s Stout, a dry Irish stout, from Cork (now brewed in Scotland). This beer pours from a 16 oz. can, like the other stout, with eddys and swirls, settling into a light cream colored head and nearly black liquid. The nose is chocolate and roasted malt. The chocolate carries into the taste with a coffee background and a slight smokiness. It ends slightly bitter and dry. This stout is lighter in body then others and in my opinion quit drinkable. Slainte!
